About
Biography
Md Nasir Ahmmed Patoary is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science at Stamford University Bangladesh and a Researcher at the Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS). His work sits at the meeting point of field measurement and public policy: monitoring air and noise pollution across Bangladesh, mapping the results with GIS and remote sensing, and translating the findings into evidence that governments, donors and the press can act on.
He has contributed to more than sixteen national and international research projects, including nationwide air quality monitoring across 32 districts, noise pollution control programmes for the Department of Environment, and health-impact studies of coal power plants and urban air pollution on schoolchildren. He has authored or co-authored sixteen journal articles, eight conference proceedings, fifteen conference abstracts and three books, and teaches thirteen undergraduate courses spanning environmental impact assessment, climatology, ecology, environmental law and laboratory practice.
Alongside research and teaching, he is an active public voice on environmental issues in Bangladesh, serving as a resource person in national dialogues, policy breakfasts and press conferences on clean air, renewable energy and climate action.
